Description of role
Reporting to the Contracts Managers and communicating at multiple levels within the business, the purpose of the role will be to provide overall support and resource management to the regional team. The responsibility of managing resource options in line with the ever-changing requirements. Working with the Contracts managers and the Lead Engineers, gaining an understanding of the resource requirements and ensuring the resource to deliver the operational requirements are in place. An involvement into the overarching resource strategy, providing valuable input into the regional requirement to meet demand. You will lead, manage, and motivate a team of multi-skilled engineers to be pro-active and take ownership of their sites, be an excellent communicator, a clear decision maker and be an approachable people manager with a good all-round knowledge of technical and employee relations. You will monitor results and achieve targets to drive operational improvement.
Role Requirements
· Attend meetings with the operational team, aligning performance with business objectives, strategic plans, provide KPI status, service delivery and commercial performance reports.
· Understand business risk. (Regional operations)
· Liaise with and monitor specialist sub-contractors and engineers in all disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the region.
· Lead regular operational meetings with engineers to ensure all are aligned with the targets.
· Develop and maintain strong, close relationships with contract managers and the senior management team and all operational teams to align delivery requirements / standards with client expectations.
· Ensuring all operational services and agreed objectives are delivered on time, and in accordance with the Service Level Agreement requirements, via your team.
· Respond to emergency call-out (be available)
· Working with the Engineers update, and issue annual emergency call-out rota.
· Complete the quality management system (PPM requiring attention) for your allocated sites.
· Working with engineers, arrange Holiday and Sick Cover for Static Sites
· Mentor Lead Engineers to ensure position is covered to a high standard.
· Site Audits
· Review of monthly PM planners and ensure that the mobile teams OOH work is scheduled up to 8 weeks in advance alongside LE’s.
· Stand in for Static Engineering when required to cover absenteeism.
Requirements for the role
· Good understanding of building services maintenance
· Critical thinking
· Excellent communicator
· Good working knowledge of MS Office
· Previous supervisory experience preferable
· Understanding of KPI’s & SLA’s
· High level of organisational skills
